Can anyone suggest any excerises I can do whilst I’m resting my leg πŸ˜” I’m trying to train for my 10K run that I’m running in June. Finding it all so difficult. I got of 1 injury in my left leg and now have devolped a unjury on my right leg which hurts a lot around my knee cap. So fed up I just want to train and enjoy this x

You may have hurt the uninjured knee compensating for your left knee.

I used the exercises on the NHS website for injured knees plus Pilates to help strengthen my knees after injury. I found the Pilates built on those I was given by my physio. If you have not already I would also see a doctor just to make sure it isn't anything serious. I also use small strap knee supports when running to help with stability as the physio warned there could always be a weakness in the damaged ligament.

Not sure what your first injury is/was..... did you get that checked out... just in case the other leg injury is related?

We are not medical experts and at this point would suggest you go and see a GP or a Sports Physio..?

Sorry to hear you are injured.

I agree with Oldfloss, get advice from a professional.

Hi Megzy24

Knee pain forced me to give up at W3 and I was gutted. Walking upstairs was excruciating but all is smiles again now πŸ€—. I took up the services of a PT with a view to strengthening the muscles around my kneecaps etc so I can get back running. He has given me some fab exercises to do πŸ‹πŸΌ and I feel wonderful when I've done the homework (indoor exercises). It is not as expensive as I thought it would be and for me the money is well spent because I feel so good and have lost some body fat at the same time.

Let's hope we both get fully fit very quickly so we can back out in the open, running! Good luck.
