Actually left the garden and ran in the village

I just started week 3 today, up until last Friday I’d confined myself to running the length of the garden and drive, didn’t have the confidence to be seen in public, but on Friday and today I ran around the village and I felt great, tired but great. Found the jump from week 2 to week 3 quite hard, running for 3 minutes and thought there was no way I’d manage it. But I did, this morning so here’s to the rest of week 3 and beyond on the streets....I’ve never run in my life, I’m 46 and a stone overweight....

Well done you! It's only the start of your running journey (or your addiction ;-) Now you've gone beyond your garden (you must have a really nice one to be able to run in it!), the world's your oyster! Enjoy your next runs.

Well done - it's great as you go further and further from home. A real sign of progress.

That's great, well done. I found that I became less self concious as the weeks went by - I don't think about it now. 😃

Sounds like you are doing an amazing job! We have a similar story by the sounds of things (except my Boo is a 15 year old cat) - same age, never run, overweight, I liked to run in my garden too. Well done for getting out, it definitely gets easier with practice. I started in May and I'm still going! It's a really great programme, very easy to follow and it gets amazing results. Welcome to the club and good luck on future runs, it gets a bit addictive so watch out! :)
