Good run today

So today I decided I was going to run 5k no matter what, I have only run this distance once since graduating but have been running between 3-4K 3x per week since . So I beat my personal best ( other 5k time πŸ˜€) by 4 minutes and did it in 39 minutes. I am really pleased, it was hard going but I did it. Looking back on my runs when I first started in September I was jogging between 9-10 minutes per km , today my average pace was 7.50 so it's a massive improvement and fast for me.My knees have strengthened and with stretching exercises do not hurt for the first time since starting running. Just enjoying my runs and everything is just improving by itself, the programme really does work πŸ˜€

Well done! It feels good to push yourself and have a goal, doesn't it?

I started c25k in October and the first 5 minute run nearly finished me off! I sat down when I got home and could hardly stand up afterwards. I also couldn't sleep because my legs ached so much! Just a few months later and I ran 5.2k in 30 minutes on my post graduation run this week. I would never have believed it possible.

Thats a brilliant time for your first 5k. A real milestone achieved!

As you consolidate your 5 k distance you will likely get faster, but the main thing is enjoy!

You are a runner πŸ‘πŸΌ
