Well, after the jubilation of hitting 5k on Sunday, I had my first post-grad runout today and made it to a miserable 23 minutes (less than I've run in any of my runs since week 6).
I decided to keep going to 5k by walking the rest of the way and ended up only walking between 3.25k and 4k and then running the last kilometre. So in the end, I totalled 4.25km of jogging/running and 0.75 walking, but still a little disappointed.
Although, overall my time was 35.55, only 6 seconds slower than my 5k 'run' on Sunday, so I think, without the lovely Laura to pace me, I must have come out of the blocks too fast! AND by-heck, was it warm out there today (lovely, but warm!)
I'm now switching to the Bridge to 10k in 6 weeks plan, as I think I could do with going back to interval running for a while to build up stamina.

There seem to be quite a few out there, but all built around the same plan. Week one involves three sessions of 4 x 10 minutes, with a minute's rest between each one.
I did download the Bluefin (?) one for the iPod, but the music was atrocious and the man all but shouted at me, not like Laura at all, so I'll be taking my own music and timing myself
It is very hard to start off slow enough - even for me, old slow and steady, I want to set off at a faster pace than is sensible, and have to try to hold myself back.
