So I'm now going into week four of couch to 5k and I can't tell you how happy I am.
I done my run today and it was super easy later this evening I decided I wanted to see what my best speed for running a mile was... about 2 years ago I had a goal of a 10min mile and was doing roughly 13minutea... today I smashed the previous and done it in 11 mins 34 seconds so got my personal best so far and I'm not far of my goal now
My nutrition today and yesterday has been amazing I always snack on a night time and last night was the first time in god knows how long that i didn't snack on junk late at night... it makes tonight much easier now I got through one night.
I also smashed my daily step goal of 10,000 steps and doubled it so it's all going well. Haven't been logging my process as much but it's still happening
Weigh in on Friday, last week i had lost 9lbs since the start

I was worried at first but i knew I could run for 8 mins at a time non stop, doing the mile run for 11 mins non stop has shown me I can do 11 non stop now so that's made me feel easier about starting week four as the maximum time running is 5 mins.
However looking ahead at week 7-9 I'm scared as 25 mins running seems like a daunting task, but so did running for 3 minutes at first but I've seen that the programme has already built my stamina so I'm praying it'll continue and I'll push through the final weeks!
Just take t day by day and give it your all, I had to have a rest day the other day bc I was drained & normally I'd have made myself do it & then give up because I didn't enjoy it, listening to your body is important. What week are you on?
I am about to start tomorrow week 1 run 1 hehe. I tried c25k before last year...or was it two? But the programme was alot different but I never completed it. I think I got to week 4 or 5. I think this time around I will listen to my body more and just go as slow as possible and just try and complete the programme. Hopefully after that the speed should come naturally.
I've tried it multiple times as well and to be honest rarely got to week two lol... I love working out but have never properly focused on cardio 🙈 yes, pace yourself... that's the reason why I always gave up cos I pushed myself too hard. Enjoy it don't let it be a chore that you have to do! Good luck & keep us posted with it this app helps loads
Hi ramboo personally this at present is the best thing I have ever done weighing 25.8 stone when I started but I am fairy active and carry my weight well I never in a million years thought I could do this but I have today run my first run of week 4 which I was dreading as the jump felt high but I managed it with ease but at my own comfortable pace of approx 15 min per mile . I personally found the last two runs of week 2 and the first of week 3 the hardest to date with my body getting used to it . But what I have achieved today I have complete faith that this program is designed to do what it says on the tin get stuck in xx
