Hi , just completed run 3 of week one , found it easier than run 2 not sure why.
Looking forward to week 2 ( I think ! )
I keep getting headaches during after a session. I am very well hydrated starting to feel like a camel 😄. I have also eaten breakfast so not sure why this is happening?

Maybe you are holding yourself tensely... try to relax your neck and shoulders and try also to land lightly. We can hold ourselves tightly and thump down a tad.. just try to relax and go slowly and steadily
Looking up really helps, not just with improving your posture but also with how you feel. It somehow feels more positive!!
Go you though, week one is now easy cos you've done it. You might find the beginning of week 2 feels really tough but remember the end of week one feeling cos that is how you'll be at the end of week 2, too easy and ready to move on!! 😁
Hi Bess, I used to get awful headaches after intense long physical efforts. They've nearly completely disappeared since I started and completed the programme. My problem was dehydration even though I made sure to get 1,5l or more of fluids a day (count the tea out as it is diuretic), and some thyroid dysfunction which still makes things a bit tricky as far as retaining minerals and vitamins. I sweat a lot and lose so much water. I used to take some special mineral waters with a lot of soda the day before the run and also after the run. You can try that or have a glass of water with lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Milk is also said to be very good after the run. Also make sure you get a high rate of minerals the days before (magnesium, iron, potassium: what do you have for breakfast?).
Slow down the pace (even if you find it too easy) and see if it works. If it doesn't get better, check with your GP as you could have some blood pressure issue. Let me know how you're doing. Well done in any case for getting there and the problem might just go away of its own if it's just a question of your body adjusting.
Thank you Anthie, I may look into adding salt into water before I go running, I do sweat a lot to (which is very attractive lol) hopefully this will get better as I lose a bit more weight . I have lost 5st just have another 3 st to go .
Hopefully they will just go away. I will keep you posted 😄
Yes, sweating is awful and I need to plan in advance what I will wear on my warming down walk because I get cold by the time I reach home (it's a 10 minute walk at least from the park)... It is a bit better now but that's our nature: some of us sweat and others are just spotless even after 1h30 of training (my boyfriend) lol. Mind you, it's not necessarily related to our weight: my physiotherapist who is very fit and run 60-90 km trails told me he was all sweats just after 10 mns.
