Have been keeping an eye on you all though while I have been out and about, visiting friends and family, burning up my holidays from work ....
Not been running for a month now re-recovering from my left calf injury because I didn't leave it long enough, and went out for a Park Run and aggravated the injury ... so be careful our there ... if you get hurt, make sure that you have lots, and lots, of recovery before you put any pressure into it. Still finished my Park Run, in a PB too, but been out of action for over a month now.
Been keeping up my fitness, at the Gym, on the rowing machine. Rowed 2500m last night, its helping with the general fitness, the cardio, and the weight loss - down to 14st 9lb now, that's almost 3st lost .... and the little Blue dress fits great .... lol
Can't wait to get running again, though I feel that another two weeks off is required ... Moral of the story, if you think you are fit after an injury, leave it some more until you know you are fit ...
If I don't see you before, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year .... XXX

Great to hear from you Christene - familiar voice.
I've been ultra busy at work and have let the running slip a bit.
Hadn't posted for a while and was feeling like everyone I recognised had moved on! Getting back into it now and hoping to enjoy lots of running over the Christmas break.
Yes, I was thinking the same myself, not too many familiar faces around, though all the support that was there for us pre-grad is still there now .... I'm going to make more effort to be an active member on this community, I got a lot from it, its good to give something back ....
Merry Christmas, Christene! I was wondering how you were. Hope that your calf heals fully and soon, so you can get back to running. Sounds as if you have kept busy with other forms of exercise though - well done on the weight loss and on passing the blue dress test!
I have a dodgy knee following a stupid accident, so I am right there with you on the IC. It's a right old pain. I will definitely heed your advice about waiting until I KNOW I am good to go. Luckily the rest of life is getting in the way this week, which has the effect of saving me from myself.
Hi HeleneCorsa , other than my calf I'm great thanks. I'm fitter than I've been in lots of years, and well on my way to my target weight of 14st. Will see if it needs adjusting in the new year ...
The rowing is helping, not pressure on the calf as it basically exercises the thighs, back, tummy and arms - great cardio too.
Look after your knee, and do make sure its mended before you test it out, the knee isn't really a joint is it, its just held together with muscles and cartilage, so look after it, enjoy your Christmas and have a great New Year ... X
Christene! Glad to see you but less glad to hear of the injury. Hope you can get back to it soon. Burning up holidays from work... does that mean you are moving on soon? Good work on the weight loss and the glam outfits as ever!
Know what you mean about the familiar faces - I don't feel ready to contribute to Bridge to 10k as I still haven't reached 5K! Also feel a bit of a fraud when I run less often (and not for any great reason). But still love seeing and occasionally hoping to help answer newbie questions and cheer everyone on
I’ve been on regularly but never seem to have enough time to trawl the posts and catch up with folks, so that I’d do it the other way round ...
Am going to try and be here at least every other day ... just have a look and say hello, at least until I’m running again ... fingers crossed that should only be a couple of weeks now ... 👍
Happy Christmas and good luck with the recovery! I'm glad to see you are still around too, I've been off here for a while as well, it's that end of year rush for everyone no doubt. Sounds like you are keeping much fitter than me! 😁
Happy Christmas TiredOldMan it’s a great feeling lining up with hundreds of like minded people, don’t get bogged down at the back though, get half way up the pack and avoid the dog walkers and the pram pushers ... Park Run is great ... 😊
