I tried using the NHS app today with my music instead of lovely Laura's (I have kept with her until week 6, run 2 and need a change). But I found it hard to hear the coaches voice (MJ, Jo Whiley) over the music from my phone. I play it relatively load to drown out my swearing/sobbing/gasping for air Has anyone had this issue and is there a way to sort this out - the volume thing and not the other stuff that I add to the experience? Thank you!

I use an iPhone and the app causes the music to go really quiet during the speech. Not sure I have any settings that are causing this - I think it is just automatic.
Thanks Richard. I will mess around with it and see if it does that tomorrow. My phone is an S8 (android) - i would hope the app works as well on it as it does on an iphone.
Same here Richard. I have an iPhone and play my music quite loud to keep me going. I have Jo as my coach and so when she talks my phone automatically dims my music slightly. Just does it automatically
I think that is what I did, but will try again. I use amazon music - a download of music on my phone. Hopefully it will work as need the encouragement of the coach but can do without the music that comes with Laura! But I have read it is a rite of passage and builds up resilience
Good luck with sorting the problem. If , (like me), you end up with Laura's music for a little while longer, making your own playlist is a great way to celebrate graduation! 😄
Good luck escaping Laura's music! Just a vote for saying the app should work fine (I also have an Android) if you start the music before starting the run on the app.
I had problems with streaming when there was bad signal or if I tried to take a picture during a run, it sometimes knocked the audio out of sync.
Thank you I played around with the app and downloaded playlist yesterday evening and it worked so fingers crossed it will be fine for my run tomorrow. I found Laura's music got a little "odd" with the start of week 6
