Finally a first post grad run, the weather relents but it was a toughie

So the great thaw arrived in Antarctica (aka Tyneside) and I was able to get out after work for my first post grad run. I think after such a good Week 9 Run 3 I set off a little to quickly and after about 12 minutes I was really struggling with a tight chest from my asthma. However as always I had my stubborn head on and carried on to do 5k in 36 minutes.

A slower overall pace than some of my previous runs but I take consolation from the fact that 36 minutes is the longest time I have managed to run so far.

Onwards and upwards, Whitley Bay park run up next on Saturday.

Glad you eventually got out Chris, not a bad time for a bad run.

I’m out tomorrow and I’ll be ecstatic if I can do 36mins....not that it matters of course...if it happens it happens!

I shall watch your result on Saturday 😊

Happy running mate 🏃🏃🏃

Thanks, on reflection not as bad as I thought immediately after finishing. 😁

Nicely done and not too bad a time either, especially in the cold. Enjoy Whitley Bay on Saturday
