So I did my week 9 r3 yesterday after nearly 4 days of no running due to moving houses! My trouble was that the small apartment we were living in had a lovely 5k running track around it and this new house is in the middle of nowhere with no footpaths around it, the park is a fair distance away too so had to do all my week 9 runs on a treadmill in the gymπŸ™.

I dis not enjoy it tbh but was missing my runs so no choice. I found it quite hard to find out what speed I wanted to be at but eventually found my rythmn and actually in the end did my 30 minutes comfortably so went on to run the 5 K as it felt appropriate to graduate the couch to 5k program with a 5 k run. I did this in 43 minutes which is not much different from my 45 minutes before I started the program but that was run/walk/run/walk whereas this was me running the whole 43 minutes! Wow ! Who would have thought!( the pic is blurry even though I slowed right down to take it, couldn’t pause the treadmill as then the stats disappear covered by a huge PAUSED sign!)

A huge thank you to the lovely graduates here who consistently post inspirational stuff ,take the time out to encourage and help newbies with extreme patience and kindness! You guys rock!

Running has changed my life! It brings so much positivity into my days. I sleep better, I eat healthier, I think I am well and truly hooked! Thank you Couchto5K you have turned my world aroundπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Well done you! Especially on the treadmill, quite boring when you enjoy running outside! I hope you'll find a way to run outside not too far from your new place. Having a nice route to walk to and run on is very motivating. Have a lot more fun running, graduate!
