I hear people talk about buffs, so I looked it up. Maybe I'm being a bit of a wally but why do people use them instead of just using a scarf? Is it because it won't unravel and trip you up? Answers on a postcard please....

Buffs!
Less likely to fall off?
They are multi purpose...you can use them as a hat, hairband, scarf, all sorts 😊
A buff can be worn as a hat, a snood, a balaclava, a neck warmer or a hand warmer. It is small, light and convenient and can fit in a pocket or just wrapped around your wrist if not needed.
My son gave me a genuine Buff, which I initially thought was an overpriced tube of fabric. I now have a second one, which is a perfectly good cheap version, and I would not be without them in the winter months. They can be bought for as little as a couple of quid and once you try it, you will be a convert. I am!!
Its great fabric with no seams. You can breathe through it as a neck warmer in winter and it wicks away sweat in hot and cold weather. I use mine as a headband in hot weather.
I love my buff, I find it has the ability to keep you warmer than anything else. I am often stripping off as I run and in freezing temperatures you will find me in short sleeves and my buff with my jacket tied around my waist. I honestly would be cold without the buff it makes a big difference, the weight of the buff is different to a scarf as it allows you body to breathe as well as keeping you warm..
Slides on easily, hat, sweatband, hairband and handkerchief all in one 😎
Keeps your ears warm, holds your earphones in place. You can blow your nose on it in an emergency. Pollution filter. Hairband. Sweatband. Bag for berries...
Hmmm... who wants to look like Doctor Who??? A buff is so much more stylish.
Yes, neck warmer, hand warmer, ear warmer, hairband, hat, hanky, bag, cold air/pollution filter, and emergency knee bandage! In hot weather I soak it in cold water and wrap it round my wrist so I can cool my face when I'm running. Get three
Your post made me find mine which hubby brought me about 5 years ago!
Can anyone recommend a buff that stays up over your mouth nose when running? Mine keeps slipping down, and this cold weather is setting my asthma off big time. I'd be really grateful if anyone could recommend one, thanks
