Title kinda gives it away. Friday night I should have graduated C25K with the final run. I didn't do it as I had in my mind I was going to get up early Saturday morning and attend my first park run. Well as I walked into wicksteed park the sun poking it's head out and warming up nicely I was astounded by the number of people there. I listened to the new park runners talk and waited for the run to begin. When the Claxton went off to start I started my map my run app. It's such a different experience running with other like minded people all supporting each other. The volunteers around the course egging you on. As I finished I was handed a place marker 184 out of 340 people. Map my run tells me I did 5k in 29m 59s. The email I received from park run says I did it in 30m.14s so overall I'm happy.
Anybody taking part in the C25K programme firstly well done your going further than people sitting down doing nothing. Secondly sign up to park run its free and it's great.

My previous runs a had run with music which felt good something to take the mind off of the running. But I thought yesterday I didn't want to be rude just in case someone wanted to chat, it seemed not the case though as loads of others were running with ear phones. I'm on holiday next sat so I'll miss it but I'll be back the week after.
That's awesome. I did my first one a fortnight ago. 230th out of 320 in a time of 31.54 and I thought I did brilliantly but wow!! Well done you, keep up the good work. I'm walking Yorkshire 3 peaks on 1st sept so may not get many park runs in before then, but I'll try lol
Well done! This is the reason that I signed up to this challenge to enable me to complete a park run, just completed my first run today and felt great! Can’t wait for week 9 when i’ll Be ready for my first 5k!
