Wk9 run1 (30 mins)!!!

Omg, for the first time ever, I have just run 30 mins without stopping!!! After my complete and utter struggle with each run of wk8 and having no reserve for the extra 2 mins needed to complete wk 9 , I was not looking forward to this run but knew it had to be done.

I rested for nearly a week due to extreme tightness of calves in wk 8 and due to working nights, then with determination and sheer need, I went to a place less hilly and more dirt track to make it easier for my legs and started. I feel sad when Sarah told me this was my last week with her but felt elated that I had come so far.

Off I went, Oldfloss telling me slow and steady. 5 mins in - felt ok, 10 mins - yes thank you Sarah, am feeling very comfortable, 15 mins- great, half way and still comfortable, 20 mins- omg 20mins and still comfortable, 25 mins- omg still comfortable, lengthened stride and picked up pace, 30 mins- wow I had done it and still felt comfortable to continue and did consider it but thought better. My run was the slowest yet but it doesn’t matter, I have just run 30 mins for first time ever and really feel amazing 😁😁😁
