30 mins in a blizzard!

Set out feeling apprehensive about my first 30 min run in Wk 9. The sun was out, and it looked beautiful, some areas of snow on the canal towpath but manageable. Actually that made me go pretty slowly and carefully, so when the snow started after 10 mins I turned round but just kept going back and forth in increasingly heavy snow, amongst my own footprints, until 30 mins was done. Was going at about 7 .5 mins per Km so really slowly but I did it and ended up feeling quite ok! Not sure when the next chance will be though, forecast is not good.

Where have you got to so far? You will get there I’m sure... 8 weeks ago you culd have knocked me down with a feather if someone had told me I would be able to run for 30mins!

Thanks. Actually it does help talking to people esp as above- my hubby and daughter are more sprightly than me. It was 3 min run today- first one hard but I concentrated on finding my own pace 👍

I survived! Feeling surprisingly good though my calves wanted to cramp when walking.

I run with my daughter and hubby- I’m getting used to seeing them go on ahead now- I am very slow!

Well done! I’m contemplating going out with fairly thick snow of the ground 🤔

I loved it! Used a buff for the first time and it really helped my breathing.

That isn't slow! My pace at the moment is more in the 8min per km and I'm on week 7! X
