Good morning, what a fabulous sunrise here in Cornwall, followed closely by a huge rain cloud which showered me as I crossed the finish line of my 20 minute run!
Even better than that, as we approached the fifteen minute mark my son and I saw a meterorite, or shooting star, cross the sky in front of us, backlit by the rosy hue of the dawn. What a boost for my final five minutes accompanied by my son running along side me shouting encouragement like a bad extra in a Rocky film
I did a 15 minute warm up walk up the hill so that I would have a relatively flat bit for my run with a closing 10 minute warm down walk.
A fantastic way to start the day and to think that just under six weeks ago I could barely run for a minute.
Happy running x

Thank you. Yes, it is a huge confidence boost, and Cornwall is lovely, but I think Norfolk would be a perfect place to start the C25K
I now believe that I can do this and I would say to anyone who is starting this programme that you too can do it no matter how unfit you are. It's not a race. Slow and steady is the only way to do it. Speed comes later but build those runs and that stamina. Believe in the programme and it will lead you to becoming a runner x
Thank you. Normally it's just the dog and me but my son comes when he can. It's nice to have the company. Now that I have run for 20 minutes I do believe that I can run the 30
Isn't it an amazing feeling? I may still be slower than an elderly tortoise but I'm running
Yes it's a great feeling. Don't worry about the speed. Concentrate on building the stamina to run for 30mins and everything else will come later. I never thought I could run and now I am loving it. Would like to run with my son and daughter but they would leave me way behind 😀
Yes, when we run together he stays with me for the warm up and then runs ahead, runs back then comes running to meet me again. Then we walk back together. I have the dog most of the time and he is happy to run at my pace
Good idea to do your long warm up walk to run on flat. I planned all my runs on flat routes but am now trying to work in some inclines. Yes we do have "hills" in Norfolk!
Yes, Ted, once the mind believes then the body follows. It's hard to imagine that you can run for so long but once you have done it the doubts disappear. Gosh, you're almost a graduate. Exciting times. Have a great run
You will do it, Boaty. The best advice that I was given was to remember that it is just a series of five minute runs and you know that you can do those. Masses of luck. You can do it
