Week Six. Run Three

Crikey. What's happened to me? Six weeks ago, I struggled to run for one minute. Now look at me running for 25 minutes. Amazing!

I struggled on the last two runs. Coincidentally, I didn't have any music to listen to on those runs due to a pairing problem with Bluetooth. I'd managed to sort my music for this outing - it must help in ignoring that annoying internal voice of mine because things seemed to go so much better. The weather helps too - what a glorious morning!

BTW, this workout began with Wild Horses by the Rolling Stones.

I opted for a ten minute warm-up walk today as I felt a little flaky. It certainly helped get the blood pumping. I'd also scoffed on an apple half an hour prior to help with a carbohydrate boost. I'm sure that it helped too, although I did have a small stitch at the end of the run. A banana would probably have been a better choice. I'm learning from every run ☺

The first ten minutes did appear to be difficult, but upon checking my stats, I ran faster in the first part of the run than the second.

This is another personal record for me. Over two miles running. I'm in disbelief. I'm really enjoying this journey of self discovery - I set off trying to improve my heart and lung health, but am finding that the impossible is possible. The human body is pretty amazing isn't it?

Well done, and looks like a lovely environment to run in. I’m assuming you know about the toxic ten.....if not, here’s some info:

Have read up on the toxic ten quite a few times. Least I'm in good company with Olympic athletes haha

I need some ABBA. I grew up with them. They're fantastic ☺

Brilliant - I've been reluctant to call myself a runner. Lol. Woohoo 🎉 🎉

The main thing I've noticed is my belly. The reduction has been amazing ☺

Congrats to you! We seem to officially be in it together. Your run looks to have been much sunnier than mine this morning, though! Just a few more weeks and we’ll be at 30 minutes... hard to believe! 🥳

It's been lovely - warm in fact. I didn't even need my woolly hat for my bald head lol

Lovely photo...yes it’s amazing, great to feel we can achieve the impossible, something we need to hold onto at this very challenging time, take care, keep enjoying your runs 😁
