Week 9 Run 3 completed.

Hi fellow runners I finally completed week 9 today. Took slightly longer than expected due to general life getting in the way.

I'm slow as treacle and pretty sure I saw a snail pass me, however the goal is now to keep on with running 5k and try to increase my speed and stamina.

I've been doing all my runs on a treadmill, so must pluck up the courage to run outside now. I'm sure running in fresh air would help as running in a small room is warm and stuffy.

Good luck to anyone still to finish. If I can do it, so can you! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ’ͺ

Well done you, from another snail . You should be really proud of yourself. Congratulations go celebrate!

I've got two more runs to do before I graduate. Didn't think I could get here when I started. Its a good feeling .

Congratulations! You can run for 30 minutes that’s a a great achievement as you say now to build stamina and speed but speed isn’t that important unless you are being chased 🀣

Definitely gets outside when you can it will open up a whole new world x

That made me laugh! I'll stick with slow and steady πŸ˜‚ Running outside in the cold presents new problems now - what to wear!

Congratulations. You will find it different outside. But for the better. The sounds and smells. Being one with nature. A snails pace is fine. I am struggling with a knee injury at the moment. I probably went too fast. Body wasn’t used to it. Only run once since completion. Can’t walk far either. Slow and steady. The advice on here is first class. Listen to it. Good luck. 🀞 Your a winner.

You're right about outside. Good to also feel the breeze on your face. I last ran outside around 10 years ago, so just need to get on with it!

Ooft, 10k seems a long way off at the moment, but having previously run a half marathon, I know it's all in the head and the old knees. I do fancy the challenge though 😊

Well done Lesley! Perseverance as a snail counts so much more in my book than being a natural hare! 😊
