Week 9 is here at last. There's a massive gulf between where I was in Week 1 and now, so I'm looking forward to the week and to the runs.
The plan at the moment is to run Monday / Weds / Friday. If I promise not to talk while we're running uphill, there's a good chance I'll get to do one or more of those runs with my wife.
I agree about the drizzly glasses thing. I might try a running jacket with a proper hood attached (hopefully not too hot) or do those peaked caps work? It's useful to be able to see where we are going! I'm W3 so there's time to sort things out yet.
This morning was a weird one. At 6.30 it rained and it blew. Fair enough, it's me against the weather not the weather against me Poor thing has no ill feelings.
Then the chain of events. I don't like jackets but needed one as l wasn't sure if my runny nose would develop into something else. Of course, l overheated and tied it up around the hips but the damn thing was sliding down so l took it off and carried it. (sigh). Then the set of keys dropped off out of its pocket so had to stop, collect and finally carry them too.
Finally, the laces spread out like worms, had to stop to tie them up.
When doing a warm down walk l was thinking of gaffa taping the keys around the gaffa taped laces. And binning the jacket.
Hi Everyone ! Been working away a lot recently and sadly not near any good running areas! Not that I am complaining as I am staying in stunning properties by the ocean. So it sounds been on treadmills but oh my no complaints about the views. I am proud of my commitment to continue my running, even though I could miss a few days until I get home. My body craves it and I love that !! So still keeping up my running and very proud of myself ! Hope all graduates are keeping it up , and to you on the way keep going !! It is so worth it ! Hugs from Thailand ! Hope this gets through as the WiFi not so good here ! 😳
That's me laughing in the face of ridiculously wet and windy weather. It didn't stop me completing W9R2, in spite of shin deep water in places, howling winds, shaking trees, obstinate sheep, mercedes drivers, stiles, gates and a varied selection of hilly bits.
If loving running is wrong, I don't want to be right.
