everyone and welcome to, yet another, new running week.

We are all so busy... life can be hectic .... and even more so for us runners!

Fear not, here is a place to take five, and enjoy a chat about our running adventures, trials, tribulations, successes, achievements etc.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up, but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If you're a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi, without the pressure of a full post.

So pull up a chair, slip off the running shoes, and settle down for a little natter:)

Wishing you all a happy , healthy ,running week

Unusually busy working week ahead, may be almost like full time 😱. Lunchtime running it is then, and lunchtime will have to be flexible. Looking forwards to getting out there later is helping the stack of stuff I have to do seem a little smaller, maybe if I run far enough it will vanish?

Hope everybody has a fabulous week in this lovely mild weather.

I find the days I run I have more time, I have no idea how it works but it just does. 😀.

I’m planning to run this morning, still redoing Week 5 - I am redoing each run three times, the idea being that I do each run until it gets easier, like falling off a log. It isn’t happening 😂😂. Maybe a bit of overkill, particularly since I had reached W6 R1 and completed that successfully, but realised I’d been forgetting to set the 1% incline on the treadmill so felt like the right thing to do. So, W5R2 (again) this morning - the last few runs have been a real slog and I haven’t enjoyed them at all but I’m feeling that today I may be getting my mojo back. I’m certain this running lark is more mental than physical!

If it works for you then that is great. I repeated a few of my weeks too. It is always best to wait until your ready to progress. You are right running is 80% mental 😀

Fwiw - I am with you on this approach - was going to post a query about whether anyone repeats runs and have now found at least one answer....

Trying to mix it up. Don’t get stuck in a rut. Maybe one stamina, one speed, and one just running!! 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♀️

Sounds like a plan. I like to shake it up every now and then. Have fun 😀.

Hello! This is my first post, so apologies if I should have introduced myself somewhere first. Very new to all this but I started week 3 yesterday and was quite nervous but genuinely surprised at how well it went in comparison to my expectations. Fully expecting difficulty ahead but the fact that I almost enjoyed my 3 minute runs last night has amazed me! I'm due to complete the programme just before Xmas (that's only if I don't repeat any weeks) and would really like to aim to do a park run with my dad and brother then, but do you think that's too ambitious or totally doable? Good luck to everyone else this week!

No apologies needed at all. The good thing about park run is you can take it at your own speed, so even if you want to take the pace down you can, they are very friendly. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply! That's great to know, it would be such a great way to kick off Xmas (making sure I don't undo all the good work with food and booze...!)

I'm on the injury couch for a while, I've sprained a tendon in my knee. On the upside, I've bought some new trainers to help with my (previously unknown) over pronation, and a new neoprene knee support. Should help sort the problem when i start back running!

I’m sorry to hear that. Hope you recover soon. I am glad you are getting to the bottom of it.

Yep! It proved it when on the treadmill for a few seconds with the new trainers, no pain. Back to my old ones and ow!
