W7r1 done a bit later than normal as working late but did it! New route worked well it was slower but definitely felt pace more consistentl & spent more time thinking of which road to turn up that time went quickerπ
Been a good week. I managed my fastest 1k (4:34), 1 mile (8:05) and 5k (26:47) on the same run. I was absolutely jiggered after that! My second run was at a steadier pace. I have just one more run to do this week, which I'm hoping to squeeze in on Sunday.
In kit news ...
I picked up a running cap in a charity shop which actually stayed on for the whole run today an kept my head at a reasonable temp. I'm still looking out for a pair of leggings for when it gets really frisky.
Health update ...
Just measured my blood pressure and I think I've now settled to my new normal. It was 115/76, which for me is fab. The exercise is definitely the key, although I've also been drinking hibiscus tea, which is supposed to help lower your BP.
General ...
The Pilates classes are great. I would never have imagined myself going along to them, but that hour really sets me up well for the remainder of the week. I'd definitely recommend it as a balance to the running.
Anyway, I hope you've all been having a good week. Happy running thoughts to you all. Good luck to all you parkrunners for the morning.
Just posting to say I've done W7R3. Was pitch black by the time I got home but thankfully I had by reflective gear and had torch on. Oh, and got some running "longs" (my mate advised me not to say "tights" π). Good job too, was a bit chilly. Still, buy the time I'd done the run I was sweaty, as per usual.
Just finished week 8 run 2 tonight... into a strong wind and it was so cold! Didn't feel like it but I actually was going quicker- my app that maps my runs told me this... and I feel so good that I did... felt slightly tired but I wanted to push myself slightly as didn't feel tired after my last run... πͺπͺπͺ looking forward to moving into last 4 runs π
