Heading home on the bus now... it’s apparently been snowing a bit this evening, so I don’t fancy my chances of persuading either daughter to come running with me tonight! 😂
I'm starting week 5 tomorrow and looking forward to it!
A friend and I decided to sign up for a 10k that is happening in June. A nice distance away so plenty of time to train. It's giving me motivation to keep at it! And worse case scenario is we walk part of it. My only concern is so far I run on relatively flat ground and the race is a fairly hilly trail run. I'm excited though as I've never done anything like this before.
On the basis that neither child is likely to come running in snow with me (their loss!), I'm quite looking forward to a snowy W6r1 tonight. I just hope I get some actual snow while I'm running!
I’m lucky that I have access to a very quiet (out of hours!) park with well maintained paths - no curbs or potholes at all! But yes, I was particularly careful in the car park area where it was quite icy with compact snow underfoot. As always I had RunKeeper recording my run, but I really wasn’t bothered in the slightest about pace or distance - the only important thing yesterday was getting around safely. If it had felt slippery I would have given in and gone home, don’t worry!
W6r2 as soon as I get myself changed and get out there. But it’s so easy to just carry on cuddling my very happy cat and put it all off... I don’t know why but today I’m full of doubt that I can do this at all. Silly. So I’m posting here to make myself accountable and I have to just go and do it!
