How did it go? Week 6 is now my favourite and i am revisiting it on a weekly loop to try to maintain post-grad. It was a mysterious challenge first time round though.
Oh my!!!! My routine has been a bit off, as my treadmill died and I haven't replaced it yet, but I was able to start running on the upper indoor track and our high school gym. But then yesterday there were events going on in the gym and up at the high school track so we ended up at one of the elementary schools. Their track is not a true "track" as it is just black top that, in my estimate, is around a third of a mile loop. It also has a steady incline on about 1/2 of it!! My pace was slower than my last 2 runs, but I SURVIVED and was able to make it through my run portions without stopping or walking! I sure felt like it kicked my butt though!!
Looking ahead to tomorrow's run, w5r3..... gotta admit that I'm a little scared--- just a 5 minute warm up followed by straight 20 minutes jogging?!?!? I hope I can make it!!!!!
Good luck. You will feel tired probably but the fact that you can say to yourself "Wow I ran for a whole 20 minutes! I definitely could not have done that a few weeks ago." AM not far ahead of you but for me that run was special. I hope it is for you too.
I ran W8R1 yesterday. A nice steady run in a loop from home. Likely to be Friday before I get to R2 (maybe a run with my lovely wife) and Sunday for R3.
I haven't managed to get to my Monday night running club thing for two weeks due to work and other commitments, but I'll hopefully get along next week. I'm looking forward to getting back into it.
It must be tough when you are so close to graduation. I'm only on W3R2 so it's all fresh and exciting at the moment. Hope your next run is a lot easier.
I ran the last run of week 6. I felt like going to a walk a lot during it but kept saying to myself, well what good would that do? Would you feel better for it? You're fine, keep going. And I did. Looking forward to week 7
Just me checking in. Ran W8R2 today. It was a nice run out with my wife and the weather was kind. We have to go back to running relay on Sunday, on account of having the smalls to take care of. 😀
First postgraduate run (involuntary delay due to having a cold -boo to that). Slow steady 35 min run along footbath by river. Nice bright morning, legs a bit sluggish at the start but got faster!
Hiya, finding it harder now I've just done W7R1 and running all the time but am changing my route as per my podcast suggestions and enjoying exploring parts of my village I wouldn't have dreamed of going if walking for fear of being nosey! No-one thinks anything when you're running red faced with your earphones in! 😂🏃
