Week 9 Run 1 - Parkrun

Hi Guys - Well, first ParkRun done and dusted, and it appears that the park I have walked around many hundreds of times, is surprisingly hilly!!!

Overall a good experience, hard to not get swept up in the mad start, my first lap was 6.45pkm and eventually settled to my usual pace of 7.30ish per km. total time 36.55.

Quite happy, can’t do them every week so may try and come once a month to check my progress.

Thanks for all the advice and the support. You guys are awesome.

Well done Scott. Good time I think I'm really excited about my first parkrun next Saturday. Went to have a look today and everyone seemed really friendly. also looks a bit hilly, that'll be interesting.

It was a really good experience, very well run, and very supportive. You will love it.

Thank you - it was good, not many people spoke but there was a lot of support. Imagine the more often you go you will see new faces etc and then chat a bit more.

Thanks OldFloss, I had no intention of starting that quick either, I just kinda got swept along. Lessons learned. 🙂

Excitement.. and understandable.... :)

I am afraid I tend to start off really too fast in most of my runs,( shhh.. don't tell) :)
