One of those occasions when a streaming cold made me not sure whether running was a good idea - apart from anything else, would I be able to coordinate that much tissue work?!
So decided a gentle try out was the way to go - so glad I did, managed W9R1. Can't say I was gambolling, but my customary snail skills did the trick. π

You did manage! Gambollling slow and sniffing: great job! As part of the runny nose runners club, I used three tissues yesterday for my graduation run lol Hope your cold is getting better (sometimes running actually helps: if you're lucky to run in a not too polluted area) and I'll be there to congratulate you for your graduation!!
Thank you! I think I'll keep on graduating for the coming weeks to make sure it's real I'm very curious to find out if I can improve and run the 5K within 30mns... and perhaps I won't sniff any longer once my body is used to the routine?
I think I will start with aiming to get to 5k first & not worry about the time it takes. My distance is slowly creeping up - over 4 & a half K today - 2 weeks ago it was under 4K.
That's great! I have no idea how slow I am. I need to run on a loop in the park, which says it's 1 mile or so to find out. But I must say I'm not too keen on running on the same path and in a loop. It's a little boring even if there's a stream and some vegetation. You're right though getting the 5K is a good way for a postgrad consolidation. I'll try the loop to find out!
I have a constant runny nose even without a cold, so a tissue rating would be fun πππ. But on my last run started off with an extra strong Mint (to help with breathing) & no runny nose until the last 500m!!!
