I was all geared up to go out for a nice long run today, and then I took a look at the weather - horrible, overcast and threatening to rain. So, I sat with my PC in front of me, in my running gear and logged into Facebook......a few seconds later, someone shared a saying, 'If you wait for the conditions to be perfect, you'll get nothing done'(!) Needless to say, I logged of and jogged off down the road - and guess what? The sun came out! Going on Facebook in a mo to thank the person who posted that inspirational message.
Will she, won't she?: I was all geared up to go... - Couch to 5K
Will she, won't she?
Well done! I too am sitting in front of my pc and feeling too cold to venture out. (Being a total wuss) I will take a leaf from your book and get myself out there. Thank you for the push!
Great quote that one! I went for a bike ride today (part of the 5x50 challenge) in drizzle, thinking I'd just do a couple of km, but once I'd got going it was really quite pleasant, the drizzle stopped and I ended up doing 10k. So glad I went out.
I also wanted to run today. I looked out the window and it was pouring down. I checked the forecast which was 'rain till 3pm'. I still wanted to go but the prospect of getting absolutely sodden was too offputting. So I'm going tomorrow when it is forecast to be drier.
And it poured down all morning and half the afternoon - so much so that we had a small stream running past our back door. (Coming off the hill at the rear of our house, running past our door, down the side of the house and off down the road at the front) So I think I made the right decision.
