So after 2 weeks of no running, I ventured back onto the treadmill yesterday. Managed 10 minutes with ease, but did not want to push to much as recovering from a chest infection and wanted to be able to breath. Finished off by going to the 30 minute point at a brisk walking pace. This morning, decided to do a bit more. 18 minutes run, and the rest to 30 minutes at a brisk walking pace. All felt good, but about an hour afterwards, knee started hurting and now is really painful again. It did not hurt while running, so not sure what I have done to it. I am away for the weekend, so will give it 2 days rest and then try again on Monday to see how I go. Really want to do this and annoyed that my knee is not helping.
Had built up to week 9 run 1 before forced to stop, so really close to the end. I will get there, but would be better if I did not have the knee pain to deal with as well.

Yes, you will do it but please look after that knee. Have you been to the Doctors about it? Hope the pain goes away soon. It's horrible when injuries strike just as you're so close to the finish - been there got that T-shirt, but you've come so far so keep the faith and you'll be graduating soon enough Caro
Thanks for the reply. Beginning to think that I need to get it checked. Two weeks off running and the pain went away completely. Just really annoyed that it is playing up again.
Oh Caro... BUM, BUM!! My knee has just started to niggle - had a meniscus op on that side too two years ago - hmm... just take a bit of time, a bit of arnica, rest and being kind to the knee and then gentle it back into harness - that's what I'm going to do. It's infuriating but better a week off than a year off. Take care and keep gentle, Sara x
I rested it for 2 weeks and ran a little on Thursday and Friday, and at the time it felt OK. About an hour later it started hurting and has gradually got worse over the weekend and ice is not helping. Can hardly move it now with out it hurting like mad. I think I need to visit the GP in the morning. Not sure when I will be able to run again
Oh dear :-(... how frustrating and disappointing but a visit to the GP sounds like a must. I have very little knowledge of these things apart from my own experiences but I had my knee washed out when the miniscus ruptured and I was only in for a day and it all healed quickly so it could just be something small but better to go and find out. Good luck Caro and see you soon I hope, Sara xox
