WK6 R1 is a tricky run. It's so easy to get the pacing wrong. So really well done for getting through it when you are not feeling your best. Take care of yourself.

Cos I did it myself. You know WK5 R1 is going to be tough so you give yourself permission to take it slow. But Wk6 R1 looks easy and you want to challenge yourself a bit so you go too fast over the first 5 min run. You tire yourself and you’ve still got 13 minutes of running to do! Use the next run to find your slow, steady pace and set yourself up for the longer runs. You’re entering what I found to be the most enjoyable part of the program. Good luck!

W6R1 is a tricky little blighter and I often warn people about it.

As you say, after the elation, comes increased self belief.......... sometimes slightly too much...........

W6R1 is your longest workout to date.........

You had a cold and and a sore ankle...........

Lots of factors working against you............ but you did it. Be proud of your progress.

None of the runs are easy, but you can make them harder by pushing too hard.

Well done, you are doing great.

I got caught out with this run too... couldn’t settle my breathing or my pace, it felt all over the shop! Hopefully better for run 2 tomorrow!

Just read all the replies to your post, thank goodness for this forum because I too found this run harder. I thought the- let’s bring her down a peg or two - demons had got hold of me. I’ll go into run two with a more positive mindset . Good luck hope you’re well soon
