Well after W5R3 I though this run would be a doddle and it wasn’t!! I really struggled I went early this morning when it was cool and I was actually looking forward to it- what a fool 😂I did finish it but it was much tougher than the last run how can that be? I’m going to console myself with my beloved wine this evening- I know that won’t help with the running so no healthy people pointing that out please!😉 Xx

Lots of people find the same: they dread W5R3 but get through it OK then find W6R1 takes them by surprise. But actually you’ve stepped up from 20 minutes run, to 24 minutes of which 18 is run. In time and distance it is not actually easier. In fact, it’s preparing you to step up from 20 to 25 minutes at the end of the week. So don’t be surprised you found it harder: it’s supposed to be harder. The point is you completed it, so well done.

W6 is a tough week. And the weather is not running weather. You completed the run and still have your sense of humour, which are the main things.

Enjoy the wine. I’ll raise a glass to all my virtual friends tonight.

Hundreds have been there before you. It catches most people out. Few weeks ago you'd never have thought you could even attempt it - and you finished it.
