Just preparing to do my W4 r3 later. Lots of water and a protein high breakfast. Found run 2 on Sunday really hard so trying to get into a positive mindset. Thinking of trying the treadmill today to help my rhythm
Week 9 awaits me. Calf muscles still really ache (my fault, I've been running for 30 minutes all through week 8 instead of 28). Might take an extra rest day instead of running tomorrow.
Hello there. Midway through week 3, my first week… in shorts!
Until now I felt that no one needed to see my pasty white legs & flabby thighs, least of all me, so had been running in a pair of old tights I had for dance class. Much too hot! So I bit the bullet & got some cheapo running shorts last weekend. What a difference! Still slightly embarrassed about showing my legs off, but it's so much more comfortable I'm prepared to put up with that. The things that C25k gets you doing! Improves your confidence (or your ability not to care what other people think, at least) no end.
Sounds like me. I've never worn shorts despite my wife telling me I'm a bit daft! My first attempt at 30 seconds of jogging was in my jeans when I was out walking! When nobody else was around! Upgraded to some old tracksuit bottoms for C25K for a while then finally migrated to some holiday shorts! My wife bought me some running shorts for my birthday and I used these for the first time yesterday. Wish I'd had them ages ago. Much nicer. And yes, no longer care who sees me out running.
I've completed week 1 with a hill run! I never thought I would manage it. I'm surprised I've made the time. I'm also asthmatic so I'm glad my lungs haven't given out! I'm looking forward to Run1 next week and not to self, must remember to take my inhalers! Xx
