After a terrible attempt the other day at trying to do w9r3 I actually did it today.
I feel so good, I had a heart attack in April followed by a double heart bypass op.
Now to think after a lot of self believe, the NHS's brilliant involvement and doing couch25k i have finally been able to jog/run for 30 minutes. The support from this site has been great and appreciated
Please encouage as many people as you can to do the c25k app. Before my attack in April I was a real couch potato and found it hard to go upstairs without getting out of breath.
Now I feel so good, I have lost weight, I eat better, I have breakfast everyday, my car has come semi redundant......get out there and enjoy the air and do c25k.
Here's to my new second chance.

What a pleasure reading your post, Timd61. This is a brilliant achievement! Yes, the nhs and c25k helped of course, but it's mainly down to you. I am delighted for you. Keep running, you've got a whole new future to look forward to.
Congratulations - not only for finishing the programme, but for challenging yourself to get back in control when it is all too easy to lay down your weapons. It takes a special kind of determination to do what you did after a heart attack. We are all our own worst enemies when it comes to taking action, and finding that mindset is sometimes the fist step to a new life. Your story is a real boost to anyone seeking to get themselves out of the armchair and into their trainers.
