I’ve just completed Week 9 Run 3! As the world’s least sporty person, I hardly imagined it would be possible. Snails overtook me all the way, but who cares! I began C25K after the very unexpected death of my beloved dog in April: without his walks I needed something else to get me out of the house. The programme has given me a real boost and helped through a very sad time, when I could easily have become a sofa-dwelling heap of self-pity. When I'm out running I still see my lovely dog-walking friends, and now I’m even on grinning terms with a few fellow runners. (We only ever exchanged scowls when I was in the dog-walking camp!) It’s been a great help to have this forum throughout and to read about others on the same journey.

What a lovely post MrsBump ! I think C25K is just amazing and has inspired so many people for so many reasons. I really enjoy a grin and a wave from fellow runners too. Well done on graduating! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Well done! It’s a huge thing for non runners isn’t it! Such an achievement! 👏👏👏 🥇 So sorry about your dog too - they are part of the family and give unconditional love so I can understand how devastating this would be 💔
🎉🎉💐💐👏👏 congratulations from a fellow unsporty graduate, it's amazing what you can do with the help of this programme and some determination. A fantastic achievement, enjoy your running future 😊
Well done..amazing achievement and I’m so sorry for the loss of your lovely dog.
A huge congrats to you, and because I graduated this morning, hope I'm not being presumptuous when I say all the tears, self doubt and second guessing means that these moments are that much sweeter. I repeated W6R1 three times as I couldn't seem to get my breathing regulated and was always exhausted, so it took a little longer than 9 weeks but it's always the destination and not the journey... I have sought treatment and advice about the awful menopause symptoms I have, downloaded the NRC app and aim to get out 2-3 times a week and improve my time and distance (all at a snails pace) I hope your heart slowly heals and that your grief and loss become more bearable. Keep reaching for the stars x
Well done Chipshop for not only starting, which is often the hardest part but making it to the finish line. You deserve that well done badge 👏👏
That’s amazing. Loved reading your post!!Massive congratulations 💕🏃♀️🏃♀️👏👏👏
