Shorter interval running today -- 90 second run, 30 second sprint, 60 second walk, times 6 or 7. It's fun to sprint! And I can actually sprint for 30 seconds, which is kind of amazing.
It's pitch black and cold now when I run now. Must get reflective stuff and a light. I run along a lit paved cycle/walking path but still...
Felt very good to get back out there!

Yes, at lovely sea level now. I miss the deer though.
My zombie app has an intervals mission where you lead zombies into a "kill box" so that's what I used. I could also turn the chases on but I haven't dared yet. It's much scarier running in the dark!
I just want to get a bit faster. I can run the distance but (and I know you shouldn't compare yourself) I am fed up of being quite so slow! Time is getting better but I thought intervals might help.
I HATE being slow but I always have been! Apparently training for a 10k makes you 5k faster. But I am just kind of resigning myself. If I keep pushing myself, I will get faster for me. I can't imagine I would ever win a race, but perhaps be in the first half?
Oh well no one would want me to run for them if they had to compete! I was slow as a child and am still slow. I see my daughter and know why — she is built like a weightlifter, chunky with muscle. She’s also tiny and does great at her chosen sport of ice skating where tiny and muscular are a good combination. But who cares eh, I can sprint for myself and for fun!
My sprint is most people's run I think my short legs don't help! I do quite like the 'speed' podcast, perhaps I should try your 90,60,80. Do you set the intervals on your watch or app on your phone?
Sounds good, even enjoyable! I'm still loitering around the edges of attempting anything that includes speed. I downloaded the c25k+ speed podcast, but haven't been brave enough to try it yet.
