Really wasn't looking forward to running for 5mins after only 90 seconds recovery but was quite surprised that I managed it and found it much easier than expected. Think I need to work on my core as I was very aware of having to pull my body upright.

Well done.. we do advise, always, the non impact exercise on rest days for core strength and stamina..:)

Just running on rest days is not enough.. the rest of you has to keep pace with the legs..especially as the runs get longer ... lots of ideas out there.... put together a little regime that you are able to fit in. Other exercise on rest days could be walking, swimming, cycling, yoga, Pilates.. the list goes on :)

I tend to go walking on my rest days and do a dance exercise class once a week. I will try to work on some strengthening exercises on a couple of my rest days.
