Run 1 after c25k

Thought I would go for a run around the streets this morning and not on a treadmill down the gym. Did the 5min warm up walk as drilled into me and set off, thought blimey I, m going well. At least on a treadmill you can easily regulate your pace, turned out I was moving a whole lot faster than I normally do. Still no pain no gain so I keep it up for a short while and then settled in. All in all a good run, ran 4.25k covered in 31mins, plus the warm up, cool down either end. Need to tweak the run a bit to cover 5k but slowly slowly and it will happen.

Congrats on a great run. Bet there won't be much tweeting to do to get to 5k. Your almost there well done👏👏😀😀

It's surprising how much better it is running outside. I have a trend at home and use it occasionally which I have to admit I do enjoy.However I enjoy getting out and about into the big world ......well where I live anyway!

Well done. Did you find it a lot different to the treadmill? I’ve never tried a treadmill run 🏃

Yes, on the mill you can regulate your speed, and it's supposed to be kinder on the knees but I find it boring as the scenery doesn't change and you get a lot sweatier. I think I will be doing pretty much 50/50 in the winter months with the aim to run on nice clear rain free frost free days when possible. Spring and summer months will be a lot different though more outside. We'll I hope so.
