Week 9 Run 1: 30 mins I ran for 30 mins!!! - Couch to 5K
Week 9 Run 1

Is that...because you are AWESOME?

You amazing RUNNER you!!!!

Excellent, you are almost there.Must feel good the end is in sight and then you can have the word Graduated against your name with a shiny badge(-:

Whoooo hoooo coming into the home straight now and the podium will be in view, we'll be there to clap you home

Woo hoo! I am very impressed! You must be feeling great! Well done. ๐๐๐๐โโ๏ธ๐

Woohoo ๐๐ป๐๐ Must be a fabulous feeling
Brilliant , well done Jo-j0 !

Because...you are a RUNNER!
Well done and wishing you many happy miles in your future

What if I canโt run the 5k in the 30 mins??? Iโm so slow!!! Snails go faster than me.
Snails don't get injured, fast runners do. Simple choice
I canโt do this yet but try not to worry and just focus on the 30 mins which is amazing!
So just keep going at my snail pace and I will get there???
Absolutely - thatโs what Iโm doing ๐ and remember when you were only a few weeks in and the thought of an 8 min run never mind 30 mins was terrifying! Weโre basically smashing it ๐โโ๏ธ
All you need to do is run 1km every 6 minutes and you will hit 5k in 30 minutes Or under 2.5 minutes in order to hit the World Record.
I once ran 5k in just over 26 minutes and spent another 26 minutes collecting my lungs along the track and the next couple of days nursing the tendons. Once I slowed down I got to 10k without a problem.
If you are really that concerned about speed, try uphill sprints, work on your muscles, do weight lifting, watch your diet, get stronger, etc, etc.
In the meantime, you should simply run very slowly and build your stamina, which inevitably takes time.

Fantastic well done. Iโm one week behind you so hopefully out tonight. ๐๐๐ผโโ๏ธ

Is this the same Jo-Jo that was concerned about W5R3 20 minutes?
Well done you!
Final week....nearly there.
