I just completed my first run of my final week on C25K and I can see the finish line. Two more runs. Please dont mind this post is just basically me feeling very please with myself for initially sticking with it and actually completing the program and also running 30 mins straight loving it and able to finish running 30 mins feeling good. 2 months ago I couldn't imagine that I would have the ability to complete a 30 min run. I remember being nervous about doing the 8 min run and 15 min..
So approaching the finish line I'm sad that it's coming to an end. I think the goal to complete it is what kept me motivated to get this far. Of course I want to continue just interested after completing C25K what motivates you to continue do you stick to the plan? do you set new goals and what are they?
Thanks for listening!!🙂

Hi, I graduated back in December and am slowly building distance. I am now running just over 7km on my long runs with a short 2.5k slightly faster paced run and a steady 5km run in a week. I am entered for a 10km race/run in October and this gives me something to build towards.
The important thing post graduation as much more experienced members of this forum will say is to spend time consolidating and building a good base of fitness. After that maybe look at Jujus magic plan.
Thank you. I was thinking along those lines. Maybe it's a security blanket thing I feel like I need to App to keep me going so I think I will use the app to keep me motivated for a couple of weeks after to build confidence and strength then build on pace and distance and use this forum for motivation and maybe to post achievements. Thanks for taking the time to give me advice, appreciated🙏
I’m at the same point as you Greenbear, did W9R1 this morning. I’m going to keep going with the app for a bit after graduation partly because I like Michael Johnson’s encouragement and I’m not ready to lose it yet- but also to consolidate the 30 min runs. Once I feel comfortable doing them I’m going work on getting to 5K ( I estimate I’m at about 4K at the moment in half an hour ) in whatever time it takes. After that who knows.. I’m not really bothered about speed or distance, I’m just amazed that I can run 30 mins after never doing any running in my life!
I couldn't have said if better myself, my sentiments exactly. I'm not so bothered at speed of distance but so pleased that I can run for 30mins. It's an amazing achievement. I think I'm going to miss the buzz and the sense of achievement. I'm going to set myself goals personal bests...maybe soon o will be able to Run 5k in a shorter time or be able to run comfortably for a longer period of time..
Well done to you too...its an amazing achievement. keep posting your future achievements 🙂
