Week 3 R3 tomorrow: Im enjoying this so far. I... - Couch to 5K
Week 3 R3 tomorrow
You still have time to do your Park Run, a great incentive! I'm doing one when I finish in November. Keep going slow and steady 👏
Im 100% committed I'm 36 and wanna do the Great North Run before I'm 40 but I'm not thinking about that I will be made up if I can do the park run before the year is out! I've just had a sneak peak at week 4 that looks a killer
If I can do it anyone can! I'm a 56 year old new to any form of activity and can now run 25 mins 🏃♀️
Wow good on ya girl! I am 54 and thought what a stupud age to start running when my body grumbles and refuses to just get me off the sofa most days. But hey still struggle with the sofa but running gett ing better. The first thing i did ladt year was i went for 6-7 mile walks quite fast ones and really noticed how much fitter i was. Good luck

I wouldn't say it's easy, but the programme is structured to ensure that your building of previous progress, so you can do it. Your body will be ready for week 4 , you just need to convince your mind you can do it, then push any gremlins that try to put you off out of the way.
If I could do this after cancer recovery having never run in my life before, you definitely can. Good luck, and prepare to persevere through your week 4 runs. 🤓
Welcome to the best forum ever!!! You will continue to get surprises throughout this programme...mostly good I might add!!! Park runs are great, if you’re in the right mindset....don’t watch the gazelles springing past you...don’t look how many people are in front of you...don’t worry about your time...everyone at a parkrun are running their own race...some aren’t even running...if you go for it (& I think everyone should at least once!!) just run (run/walk) your own 5k...incorporate it into the programme of that works for you, if not, use it as stamina build up...see how you go & let us nosey folk know!!!!
