After the high, the low of Wk6R1 😧

Started out buoyant after last week's 20 minuter but really struggled today. Am putting it down to having a flu jab in one arm and a pneumonia one in the other earlier this morning- arms and legs feel like lead, and running at a different time of day. This has been my hardest one yet 😦😦

I’d put it down to those as well 😀

Seriously, all runs are not the same, so don’t feel disheartened. Maybe give yourself and extra rest day before you do the next one?

Thank you. I think I will have 2 rest days before my next one

Sounds like a plan. Talking of plans, the ones I’ve followed to get to 10K have an easier week around week 5.

I found it harder than week 5 but moved on and last run w6r2 was much better

I did manage it all but the 8 minute one in the middle was horrid. Am sure it's these jabs as feel a bit meh 🤒

Maybe a rest is called for.. I had my flu jab yesterday and have been moving wardrobes today :) Rest day .. what rest day :)

Just rest up.. give any effect you may be feeling time to abate and then head out steady and slow..you will be fine:)

It could well have been the injections. I was quite ill after my pneumonia one a few years ago. I expect your next run will be much better!

Well done for getting out there.... can you believe it week 6 already!??

Hope your next run goes better, I'm sure it will after 2 rest days. I'm starting week 6 on Monday! 😎

Hiya,

Having never had the jabs before, I just felt really meh and lethargic but yesterday I went out and was OK again. Have bought proper running shorts as yesterday got chaffing on leg from my board shorts. What do you wear? Am going to go real slow on Friday on Wk6R3 in my new short shorts 😜
