Week 3 Run 2

β€’10 Replies

Out and done woohoo shower banana & coffee are the order of the day!

I am running on the same straight safe flattest stretch of road that I can find is that ok?

when the time goes up I'm going to have to continue on the road further but then I still have to come back up the hill!!! πŸ˜‚ 2weeks ago I was dead by the time I got up it now I can talk so a big improvement! Thank you all for being here πŸ˜ƒ

I think it's wise to use a route you are comfortable with in the first few weeks, for sure. I am still avoiding hills in week 6. Plenty of time in my future running career for that. πŸ˜€

You are doing great, keep up the good work, the rewards are many! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

You sound like you are doing fab! Run alone so not sure if I can talk whilst running.. I am at the same stage as you!

We can do it!

Your route is fine it seems to me, the main thing is you running and not being concerned about where you are running...

Hills can come later, but there are methods of dealing with them, including back stitching which is finding a milestone, running to it, then running back down the hill and going up to the next milestone and so on. The running back down gives you chance for getting your breath back, as I've read on here oodles of times, the C25K plan doesn't really allow for hills. But if you can manage them in the plan they do make you a stronger runner in the long run.

Well done you.

Fantastic πŸ™ŒπŸ» Im with you on this one and sticking to the flatter routes too. Let's master the art of running before attempting the hills.

... as long as you are running... and enjoying it... it matters not a jot where:) Go you!

Out there and doing it...time for hill heroics in the future!
