I've just done week 2 run 1. I can't believe that I will get to the point where I will be able to run for more than just a few minutes. Even though I'm managing so far - it seems so impossible to think of myself as someone who runs. I can't be the only one to feel like this!
Week 2 : I've just done week 2 run 1. I can't... - Couch to 5K
Week 2
No you aren't, we all felt the same . And we are all laughing at ourselves not believing we are runners but we actually are! It takes a while for it to sink in, but it does happen and you will be one
Yes, me too! I'm only half way there, but even getting this far seemed unreachable for me. You are already a runner, and you've done the hard work by getting up off the proverbial couch and going for it. The mental battle is a big one, and you've already done that.
The way I'm handling it is to stop myself every time I even think about Wk9 or Week 5 run 3 or whatever, and just concentrate on the current run, and trust in the programme. I'm naturally sceptical about things like this, but so far it's working. I'm amazed at the programme and myself.
And you're doing great too, you've done week 1, and I know you can do week 2. We're all rooting for you, and do keep us all updated too!
All the best, Neil
Nope you're not at all, but take a look at how many posts appear under each week, and you'll see that lots of us have progressed through. Have faith in yourself and the programme, post when you run and let us know how well you're doing...
Looking forward to seeing you all the way through to W9
Start believing in the plan, which has transformed countless thousands of people into runners and also in yourself............you are capable of doing way more than you currently believe.
Running is hugely psychological, so that belief is crucial.
You will do it....this programme works and this forum is THE BEST!! Believe in yourself 😜
