W5 R2: another misty morning run with the squirrels

Hi you lovely runners,

Happily completed run 2 of week 5 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Running for 8 mins did not feel too bad a step up from 5 mins, and my breathing was good. I had to really focus, and I would never class any run as "easy" but this was totally do-able. I love this running lark.

Looking forward to run 3 and 20 mins of continuous running. I refuse to be daunted. Negative, worrying thoughts about whether I can or cannot do this will get me nowhere, so bugger that. Won't know until I try. πŸ˜€ And I am going to approach this from the perspective of "I can".

Have a lovely day y'all. And if it's a run day for you, may it be a blissful one. 😘

Well done on completing another run Sadie, in what looks to be lovely misty autumnal weather. Glad to know a little of what I'm letting myself in for next week too. See, no matter what anyone says, you are indeed a runner, and it so IS for you. So glad you took the 8 minute thing in your stride. I'm sure you'll do fine with the 20 minutes, you seem to be a very positive person, and I'm sure that will do you the world of good. Promise you'll let us know how it goes?? W4R3 for me later!

Have a great day yourself :) Neil

Thanks Neil! I have just stoically made the decision that if the people I love in my life cannot be positive about my new running habit, then it's all up to me. Which is in fact, enough! I also decided not to worry ever again ahead of a run. Self doubt is futile I tell thee!

You will absolutely sail through your final run of week 4! I found it thoroughly enjoyable and my legs were ready. As are yours. Happy running, buddy!

And of course I will check in after r3 of W5! I am right chatty, me. πŸ˜ƒ

Speaking as a bloke, we are a bit rubbish sometimes, you know? In our minds we want the best for the one we love, being overprotective perhaps. But because we are rubbish, it comes out as discouragement. So maybe not wanting you to do yourself an injury actually comes out as discouragement. I know that's the sort of thing I would end up saying!

And yeah, maybe had picked up on the chatty thing lol ;)

20 minutes is great. You really get a chance to get into a rhythm and really enjoy the beautiful misty surroundings around you.

Enjoy. And keep it up !
