Almost there!!
Beyond happy, I'm now able to run for 30 minutes!! It's tough but I can do it and I've done it more than once. Been a bit cheeky and pushed on to run 5km a few times now too. Love it. Bring on run 3 then what? What do I do next?

Oh, well done you.
HI Louise,
That's fantastic news. No wonder you feel so chuffed. You're brave to do it a couple of times, but it's all practice and strength building. I'm due to run wk 9, run 2 this week. I found the first 30 minutes tough too, but I think we just become stronger every time.
Well done you, have you read Bluebirdrunner excellent post on consolidation? It gives you a pause for thought before deciding if you're going to be a Usain or a Mo...
Well done you see you next time out in the podium
Great work, good luck for run 3. The next thing to do after that is to jump around shouting and fist pumping at an incredibly satisfying and awesome achievement! Once you've done that, as Jancanrun suggests, have a look at Jan-now-runs post. ;0)
Lol! Thanks. I do that after every run anyway. Still finding it hard to believe I've got this far!!
Keep running. The programme is designed to get you running regularly. Keep doing the same. You will build your stamina and endurance. You will be better and faster. You will find yourself finishing strongly. The only commitment you need to make is to continue doing what your doing.
If you want to mix it up a bit, try park run (parkrun.org.uk/ ) its free to do and you get to run with like-minded people of all ages and abilities. You could also look at organised races, most of which are run for charity ( timeoutdoors.com/ ). Perhaps you could join a running group in you local area?
As you get better at 5k you may want to increase your distance, 10k, HM and a marathon are incremental goals you could focus on too.
If you just want to focus on 5k then why not get something like strava where you can analyse your runs. You can then start to think about mixing your training up with tempo runs, fartlek, hill sprints, intervals etc. How about trail running?
There are many options out there, c25k is just the gateway. Run for fun, or set yourself goals and challenges. Try lots of things to find what suits you best.
But, for the love of all that c25k has given you - just get out there and run.
Just reach the podium first... and then..... well.... consolidation, consolidation and more consolidation,.... short runs , longer runs, C25K+ podcasts.. the list is endless and.. we will all be there to support you!
Great eh!
