Goodness right now it isn't getting any easier! Legs are tight, lower back is stiff and sore. Back to school tomorrow so got to try to do run after school as well as walking the dog!

Ouch, you sound as if you are really fed up. How about treating yourself to a nice warm bath. I know about the stresses of school as up until this time last year I was a deputy headteacher. What age group do you teach? It might be worth getting a hot water bottle under your calves to help relax them, or rub in something like Tiger Balm which is great at cooling down and soothing and somehow seems to do it from within.

Don't push yourself too hard if you're still in pain, you can always have an extra rest day if you need it. Also make sure you are taking it really really slowly, and then slow down a little more.

I hope you feel better soon and the first day back with the children goes smoothly. :-)

Well done Unfitat😊..yes, you do need to take at least one rest day between 'run days' and maybe do some gentle stretching after your cool down walk while your muscles are still warm.

You do each run in W1 three times with a rest day between each session then move onto Wk2...

Only run at a very slow and steady pace, you are just training yourself to run and building stamina. The plan really works and each session you do helps build you up for the next.

Good luck😊..

Not sure but it sounds like you're running every day!

3 times a week with a rest day between and 2 rest days after 3rd before moving on to next week

PS

Rest days essential and with the start of term being hectic... if you miss a run day,.. do not worry.. they will still be there:)

Are you running every day? There will be detentions, lines and possibly worse if you are!!!!!

Rest, rest rest 😀 take a long hot bath and gentle stretching exercises, it will get better trust me, I used to take my doggy with me on the earlier runs, but only do 3 runs over the whole week 😀
