I have never been a distance runner - I was the sprinter & high jumper at school. During the cross-country runs you'd find me near the back chatting away and only running when in sight of the teachers.
So this idea to join a friend in doing the couch to 5k... I'm not sure what came over me, but I agreed :/
Anyway, I somehow decided that it was still a good idea right up until the first bit of running yesterday... 60 seconds is longer than I thought. But the second run and the ones that followed were easier and I started to get the hang of breathing properly.... I think I may have actually enjoyed myself, and will be back on it tomorrow evening (my friend is part of a running group that meet on Thursdays :D)

No, definitely not easy! I did have an app and it's meant to vibrate and make a nosie when the time is up.... didn't feel it during the running part - I started going by looking at my watch :S
Yep, it always seems longer when running.(or some odd form of lurching forward at an ever decreasing speed). However, if you need some time for yourself 60secs is over in the blink of an eye.
60 seconds just goes liek that wehn I want to drag it out. I was lying in bed for an extra 5 minutes this morning and it disappeared so quickly - yet if I was asked to run 5 minutes right now it'd probably go on forever
Thank you very much I'm back out again tonight but that's with a group that my friend is with. Bit nervous/self-conscious as they are all going to be ahead of me and I'll be at the back like a compelte newbie.... but I guess if it only happens once a week it shouldn't be too bad
