Meant to do it Thursday, but not been feeling too grand the past few days. So today was the day. I thought it was for 30 minutes, but it was for 28. Though the last 2 minutes seem to drag on forever, lol π
Was flagging a quarter way in, but kept upright and looked forward, just focusing ahead. I don't know how we keep going, it's quite unbelievable.
Hoping to do my first park run next Saturday, I'll be a week away from wk 9, so hoping i can do it.
Had a toot toot from a passing motor cyclist, he probably thought I looked like i was going to pass out going by the colour on my face π€£π€£
I've attached a few images, plus one of me which is smaller, so a nice change from seeing my mug on it's own, lol.
Thanks for everyone's encouragement, you're such lovely buddies ππ€

Might be worth a try Martin. I know all the cracks in the pavement now and the same peoples' cars index plates as they pass.... I'm quite good at that though, lol xx
Ah thanks Marky π Yes, i was sporting these in one of my earlier pics. Not quite the matching shade of top, but i have a top to go with them, so I'll wear that this week. I'll need another podcast for my tops ππ
Ah thank you π I can't quite believe or understand that how it's all happening. You'll be there befire long, don't you fret about that. How's the injury doing? π x
It's not too bad. I think the swimming and strength exercises are helping but I still get a twinge in my knee when I over do it! Fingers crossed I'll be running again soon! X
Not only do you look younger in every pic, I am sure you have a knack of running your 9 weeks in about 5..., you are rocketing through the schedule, but you're doing it steadily too. That's a physics conundrum to me...
Aww, thank you Jan, I believe I started this in June, but then had a 5 or 6 week lapse. Then decided I'd get my act together and I think I've stuck to it weekly ever since.
I look forward to it, but if this makes sense, I sometimes dread that I have the longer run ahead, but once into it, I'm okay π
Thanks for all the confidence, it's keeping me going and motivated. Couldn't do it without you or the other lovelies π€π€
Yey...a-maz-ing!!!!! No gremlins getting the better of YOU today!!!! Flagging?? Flagging? You?? Never....just settling in really I suspect...you dug those heels in and whoosh you were off...the toot toot was because you are a-maz-ing...and inspirational....and looking fab with it..you have a lovely glow about you & ooze energy....
You will nail the park run...deffo...I've no need to say let us know because I know you will...woo hoo!!!
Aww, bless you Bev and a big thank you π€Yes, it was definitely a case of heels down and pushing through. I always dread it, but once into it, it's not too bad, is it? π
You did so well on the PR though, that was a big thing to do and still doing your podcast. You've had a taste of it now, so the next runs will be better again each time you do them.
Yes, I'll definitely report back and try not to back out, just hope my friend doesn't expect to me to talk all the way round, haha. I mean, I can talk for Wales, I know you'd never guess, but not when I'm running, not yet anyway πxx
Ha ha...me neither chick...I can only just breath!!! I had to find extra energy to do high fives at the park run & apart from mumbling "I'm knackered" at an official on the last lap...I didn't speak!!!! π
Well done you. That is amazing. I am loaded with a chest cold and was gutted on Monday when I attempted and failed 10mins into wk 8 run 1. I have not failed to date and should have known better than to run unwell. Lesson learned. You are an inspiration quirky bee.
