Hey my little joggers π
Well, it was a statutory holiday with work for the August bank holiday, so after a painful visit to the dentist, chores carried out in town, visit my Mum and then home, I had a few pieces of chicken and tomatoes and thought I'd better get out there and run.
Wasn't feeling the best upon waking, giddy and a nagging head, but it was even worse after arriving home. But I took a couple of tablets and within half an hour or so, I did a quick wonder woman change ππ into my gear and set off, sporting another of my new Tees! MarkyD ππ It may look like a plain tee from the front, but it has a super cut out shape at the back haha π
Well, five minutes into my run, I felt quite exhausted and the thought of running for another 20 minutes filled me with dread. I just felt completely heavy. How I did it, I do not know, but I just kept focusing on putting one foot in front of the other and aiming for the halfway mark and hearing Laura's voice.
I kept on moving and finally had the last 5 minutes to run. I seemed to pick up from there and put in all my effort until the 25 minutes was done. My pace today must have been my quickest at 13'10" (it was definitely 13' anyway). I gather this is still very slow haha, but quicker than Sunday's reading of 18'. Hoping this will improve, as I feel a bit of a slow slug πππ
Either way, keep pushing folks even if you feel you can't. Somehow, you seem to get through. Only God knows how I did it today, but I did. Thinking of changing my route if I can, though it may entail coming back up a hill and I'm a tad dubious about that at this crucial point, as I don't want the extra energy put in to put me off. I must have a think ready for WK 8!! π€π x
