Hey lovely peeps π€
My last run was Monday and I should have started WK 7 on Wednesday, but alas, my hands were tied.......not literally, lol.....shame πππ
Anyway, I booked this afternoon off from work and thought I'd include my run in as well as other jobs on my list, lol.
I wasn't sure what to expect, (I like that sometimes......surprise and anticipation, haha), so when Laura said 25 minutes of solid running.....I thought righto, let's do it.
First five minutes felt quite difficult in terms of, where's my energy gone......but I kept to my usual pace and after Laura said I was 12.5 minutes in, I thought I'd quicken my pace slightly. This felt okay for a few minutes, then I decided to slow down again and catch my breath.
I expect others feel the same in respect of thinking, "how am I going to get to the end, or, how long is 5 minutes as it seems like 10, haha?"
Well, what I find that helps, is that no matter how tired my legs are, or how much I'm out of puff, I just picture in my mind putting one foot in front of the other, looking forward and keeping upright and just thinking, I can do this, I can do this and just keep moving forward the best I can.
I also think of this forum and the lovely people I've become to know and thinking of all the encouragement and advice that you all give me and that gets me through....especially the last few long runs like 20 minutes and now this one. I even quicker my pace for the last minute, as suggested by Laura π
Thank you lovelies for all the advice and encouragement you've given me and for putting up with my mug on here each time, haha. π It's a tired one today, not because of the run as such, just general tiredness....oh and a slightly red terminator eye ππππ
MarkyD........Yay, I wore pink trainers and very bright top, lol! It's a good job it won't allow more than one upload π
