Couch to 5K

Week 1 Run 1 done!

This morning I completed my first run! I'm doing it with my wife and we're motivating each other, it's great :) I tried running a few years ago when I was doing Slimming World, and followed a home-made programme with much shorter running periods (30secs) and 2-3 minutes of walking in between, and each session I thought I was going I collapse! But I found this morning's run surprisingly easy - and I am by no means fit! I stagger up the stairs at the moment, and I'm 5 stone overweight :( I feel so good after doing my run today! I'm really pleased with myself :) hoping I can carry on!

Well done on your first run and welcome to this forum!!! You've taken the hardest step....starting.

You'll find that you get loads of encouragement and support on here so keep posting and let us know how you get on. Good luck to you both! :)

well done, i have not managed my first run... had probs downloading the pod cast. but thats done now, on charge, and hope to do my first run tomorrow....
