This summer has been a pain, literally! I've spent more time on the IC than out running. Just getting back to running after back pain and loving it when last week at work, my right knee crunched as I turned and has been painful on & off ever since. It's usually my left knee that gives me a problem. The swelling has gone down and it's not so achy so tomorrow, I'm going to strap it up & try a gentle jog along the cycle path and see how it goes; if it starts to twinge, I will stop and walk. Fingers crossed

Getting out there
Hey Dhiny! I'm thr guy of Injured Knee fame, twinges and pain are part of my lexicon We are different, your knees may be less prone to bad surprises but one thing I did learn. Knees can be awkward customers and maybe you should clear any injury with your physio before venturing out, just to be on the safe side? Then again, knowing your body better than anyone else you should feel the extent of discomfort and know when you are ready to run. Perhaps waiting a few more days until there is no glimpse of pain?
It will be ok, I've rested it and treated it (I'm a sports masseur as well as being a nurse) for the last week & it will be ok. I'm an old hand at knee pains & twinges and know when not to continue. It has been pain free all day today so I'm going to give it a go tomorrow. Thanks for the advice
Well, you are definitely one person I would like to run with me! Glad you're fine
Slow and steady my friend and first twinge... ease back :)x
