After 2 long 10.5 hour shifts looking at a computer screen I thought the run would help de-stress me but I have to say this run was hard work, I completed it but not as enjoyable running when the body is tired to begin with - think I am going to have 2 days rest and complete run 3 on Saturday
Week 7 Run 2: After 2 long 10.5 hour shifts... - Couch to 5K
Week 7 Run 2
Yeah why not ๐ that's fine. Best be rested and up for it ๐
Hey heartless at this stage it's a great idea to take the extra days rest. Cumulatively speaking it's really ramping up, so take it a little easier by resting just a bit more. That way you'll glide and not be bumpy next time out
I'm at the same stage as you heartlesstroll. I quite enjoyed W7R1 but know enough to know that they won't all be good days. Can you believe we'll graduate in <20 days??
I know so hard to believe isn't it ๐ I still don't get how I will do 5k in 9 weeks I am just up to 3.56 unless I put roller skates on I can't possibly do another 1.5 k in 5 minutes ๐
In a recent survey of Graduates, less than 10% of us graduated in 8 weeks/ with 5k.
It's really about building up the stamina to run for 30 minutes non stop. Most of us do get to 5k after graduation, not quite so many in 30 or under.
Do read the beginner posts of graduates - lots of experiences recorded there that will set your mind at rest about your own progress
Wishing you many happy miles in your future
This is very true ๐
